Land Fundraiser New Year’s Card 2023

04 Jan 2023 Land

Dear Friends of Auroville’s Beautiful & Harmonious Development,

The New Year 2023 is upon us. Thanks to your generosity and solidarity, the year gone by has increased and consolidated Auroville’s physical base with the addition of 10 new plots (comprising 9 acres & 84 cents) in the planned township area (City & Greenbelt). We thank you for your valued support which is at the base of this progress!

We are happy to share with you our annual New Year’s card, which is a way to connect with you and to express our sincere appreciation and thanks for your contributions and collaboration, and to let you know that the efforts for providing a unified ground for Auroville’s flowering are continuing unabated.

Besides this e-version, we will be sending to our land donors a printed copy of our New Year’s card by post.  In response to our query, some of you have informed us that they would like to have additional cards, while others have said they are happy to receive the e-version only, Some of you have updated email and postal addresses. We thank you all for your responses.  We will certainly follow the information and requests you have sent us.

In case you are in Auroville or going to visit in coming weeks, these cards are available for free at the Town Hall Kiosk, Information Service at the Visitors’ Center, the Unity Pavilion and the two Pour Tous centers (PTDC and PTPS).

We thank Aurovilian Lalit Kishor Bhati for the cover photo of our card and Aurovilian Mona Doctor-Pingel for the photo on page 3.  Our gratitude goes to Aurovilians Aravinda Maheshwari, and Jasmin Maheshwari, whose design work and collaboration this year once again created this beautiful card and its aspiring message.

We take this opportunity to recall and remind you of the inspiring and encouraging information we have shared during the past year in our four newsletters. They include the stories of four Auroville pioneers, four new Aurovilians (adding to Auroville’s international mix), the history of land consolidation over the years as well as the past eight years of the Acres for Auroville campaign, our beautiful allied Art for Land support action, and the many solidarity creations and actions that support our efforts. If your busy 2022 didn’t permit you to read them before, here are the links for some happy end-of-the year reading!
